Additional services

We are experienced in carrying out replacement parts maintenance on wood and multi fuel fires. This includes replacing fire bricks, baffles, castings, air tubes and seals. Maintenance on older model fires is subject to parts availability but we will do our best to keep the fire you have in good working order.

Bricks and baffle boards.
We take great care while working on a fire, but the nature of fire bricks and board/brick top baffles means that some breakage does occasionally occur. We will do our best to inform you of any concerns we have regarding the risk of potential breakage, but we are not liable for replacing such parts if they do break during handling as part of an inspection or sweep.

Cowlings.
We work on the assumption that a cowling is secured (screwed or riveted down) but we do take care to not hit it with undue force. If a cowling is knocked off during a sweep, or it falls apart because it is due for replacement, we are not liable for putting it back on, repairing or replacing it.

Cowlings that require tar cleared out by hand are the result of a fire not being used correctly, or due to burning unseasoned wood. We will do our best to get on the roof to attend to these cowlings but due to Working at Height requirements, we reserve the right to decide on the day if it is safe for us to do so and it will incur a $20 roof work charge.
